Since Jhanvi Gudka got her first job in public relations at the age of 22, she has always gone the extra mile. She would arrive at the office when she was visibly unwell, she says, and spend hours trying to meet “incredibly high standards” on early versions of her work.

“In one memorable incident, I slipped while running to the train in the rain and arrived at the office with bloody scratches and a swollen lip for a meeting I couldn’t miss,” recalls Gudka, now 31.
