French exports up 20% in the first nine months
The French economy is doing better. Exports of goods reached 439 billion euros in the first three quarters of 2022, up 20% on the same period last year, according to a report published Sunday by Business France.
After a year 2021 when French exports of goods had “benefited from a post-pandemic rebound” and were “back on the rise”, with an increase of 17% to €501 billion, “the growth of exports of goods has accelerated” at the beginning of 2022, says Business France.
Moreover, this growth was accompanied by an “increase in the number of exporters, from 130,300 to 137,500”, the organisation notes. This rise “continued in the first quarter of 2022 to reach 139,400, the highest level for 20 years”, he says.
