Energy sobriety: how France is coping with the crisis
Every oil crisis has its own energy saving plan. Without necessarily being resurrected, the character of Gaspi, who emerged from the 1979 crisis, is likely to inspire the government in the design and conduct of the energy sobriety plan put forward by Emmanuel Macron during his televised interview on 14 July. A plan “in which we will ask all our compatriots to commit themselves”, said the head of state. Large companies and public administrations will not be the only ones to have to adopt savings measures as part of specific plans.
